Please invest where we cannot. We have spent a lot of time, love and money on our homes here in Church Hill. Please fix the sidewalks for safety of both residents and visitors of Church Hill!

just voted to get this fixed! i bet it takes 4 mo to get this done--which is too long. I'm guessing this might get fixed by Aug 1, 2013

Please fix this! Hard to take a stroller to the stores there.

I've actually voted for this sidewalk to be fixed before (when Brad posted about it). It's very hard to maneuver with a stroller, but also looks unsightly.

We own 2707-2709 East Marshall and have been to get the city to fix this sidewalk FOR FOUR YEARS now! We paid to have it repaired as best we could without "hurting the tree" which was Richmond's biggest concern... even AFTER I reported several PEOPLE tripping accidents. This year alone, I have personally gone to the city offices and requested that this sidewalk be repaired BEFORE anyone else got hurt. I was given forms to complete, phone numbers to call, and sent TWO different sets of photos (???!!!) of the mess that our sidewalk is in. Sidewalks and trees all around our area have been worked on even as late as last week! WHO KNEW THE SITUATION HAD TO BE PUT TO VOTE ON THE INTERNET OR BROADCASTED ON TV FOR THE CITY TO REALLY CARE? Our considerable thanks and appreciation to all of those who spoke out for this well needed repair! You gotta love the SOCIAL MEDIA outreach! Sincerely, Karen Kellman

Great news- I just drove by and there is a large crew (6-8) dudes working on this area right now. I hope it looks great when they're through...and I hope they're mindful of that beautiful old tree. Hooray for community led initiatives! You make the difference!

So this got fixed?

NO! Trees were cut down AFTER sidewalk was redone and now there are TWO unsightly stumps with the same dangerous roots. Sidewalks are safer and therefore better, but tree stumps are ridiculous???

Come on, let's make this right!

8/29/2013 - Service Review: Richmond Sidewalk Mgmt Team (20020887867) noted this location was finished out for brick sidewalk repair April 2013. There is an active ticket open for Tree Stump removal by Richmond Tree Mgmt Team (20020899762). These two stumps have already been placed on the stump removal listing to be handled in the very near future - rtt

The sidewalk has been repaired and the stumps are gone, y'all can close this one.

This was taken care of earlier this week.
