visitor parking at the TCHC building is paid for by using the tenants laundry card and putting money on it through a machine in the lobby.then getting a ticket for your windshield.
The problem being you have to either park illegally in the fire route or in a parking space and go and get the laundry card or wait for them to bring it (we have elderly and physically handicapped tenants).Tenants also use the outdoor visitor parking if you are going to be leaving again soon or youre afraid to use the underground.
Or youve borrowed a car.The machine doesnt except the new plastic bills and sometimes chooses not to except the regular bill you have.which means a trip to the store for change sometimes.by the time you run up and get the card,load it and get back to your car you have a ticket.the ticket writing guys know this all too well too.Then the maintenance crew, contractors,and other agency people also use all our spaces as we only have about 20 for a 25 story building
