I put a trash can out at the edge of my yard. Sometimes people use it. Other times not. The smokers throw their butts out everywhere, i try to do a thorough cleanup of my block at least once a week. This week my recycling (in the old bins) was not picked up. There is also a lot of broken glass from beer bottles. The trash cans do help some.

Has there been any response to this? I feel strongly that a trash can on this block would help significantly.

Completely agree. How about installing a big belly at this location?

We have installed a new Big Belly solar trash compactor and recycle bin at the corner of Wilmington and Cabarrus. It would be great if people would help pick up this area and remind the Lincoln Theatre folks to help keep the area clean as well.
