Has the City stated they actually want us to report dead squirrels by the road? They indicate that Animal Services will pick up dead squirrels if asked, but not that it is the correct/recommended course of action. They indicate other small animals (ie chipmunks, birds, etc.) should be treated as regular waste... I've been putting the dead squirrels in the nearest city litter receptacle thus far, unless they are too messy/flat to move.
