Without complaining about government and how things work here—this intersection needs to repaired! We are passing 16 years since the whole intersection was repaved and the cable for the light controls was cut across the whole intersection through the fresh paving.

The state comes occasionally to patch, but there must be some potholes on the dividing line between the the city and the state as the BANGING is back as loud as ever. All the filler material mixed in with the snow lying on the sidewalk tells the whole story.

Please patch.

There are large trucks and there are flaws in the pavement resulting in very loud banging when they meet. These trucks have springs—not shock absorbers—and they do bang very loudly coming through the intersection. This is fixable—so why not fix it?

The patch work is sloppy. Resurface the intersection.

The contract for repaving Orange Street to Edward Street just stops short of entering the Orange-Trumbull intersection. There are parts of the area to be milled and paved that are better than the intersection. There are clearly deep holes in the intersection that neither the State nor the City has filled. Please decide on the jurisdiction and patch those holes. Thank you.

The reason for them not entering the intersection is it could considered state owned.

Some areas are better but clearly there are potholes that trucks run over all the time that are worse than when this was first reported.

The State came through and filled many holes in the intersection. The noise has been greatly reduced but not eliminated—only a complete repaving would do that.

The time for patching this intersection has passed. The bulk of the surface out there has been there since 2000. The on-ramp side was built up of 12-16" of road surface material to a density set up by the CT DOT. They did this after the original concrete road bed, put there when the ramp was originally built, crumbled away over a period of weeks to months. When the new road bed was finally finished one warm summer night, a communication channel was dug all across its width—that no passing vehicle can avoid driving over. When the DOT filled this channel, the end result was a mini speed bump, which is the route cause of every banging noise out there. It is getting worse every day.

One DOT person came and marked in white paint problem areas responsible for the trucks doing their bouncing routine. That was weeks ago. Nothing is better about the condition of this roadway. I will report back and say thank you when something actually happens to improve this situation. And, oh yes, not only do we have the noise from trucks bouncing through all day and into the night this past week there were trucks out here grinding and sucking at the sewer on Orange Street sometimes until 3 am. Louder than any other event out there,
