Why is this a capital improvement issue. Will the whole street including the truncated sewer line be fixed in the future? this street's sewer line does not continue the length of the street. In fact the connection from 87 Sherman St house (a house which is practically up against the street with sewer line piping in closest NorthWest corner position of basement to the main as possible) to the main line is approximately 76ft because sewer line ends in middle of this section of the street.

Pavement is a Capital Project - sidewalk area is being checked

With the Capital improvement street project, I would like to suggest that this project include running the main sewer line further than its current end point. This would help some residents on the street have a shorter house sewer line before connection to the mainline.
