Pole 2712E is way WAY too bright as well.

LED Lamp light at 612 Chamberlain St. is too bright as well. Please change to lowest wattage.

Staff will ask Duke Energy to ensure the wattage is the lowest available at these locations. Most residential streets are being converted with the lowest wattage LED. We will also ask that they level fixtures and install shields at 516 Gardner and 612 Chamberlain. We will need a location for pole number 2712E in order to address it.

pole "2712E" is on the north side in the middle of the 2700 block of Everett Ave.

This appears to be pole number CH37BL between 2712 & 2714 Everett Ave. This fixture is installed at the lowest wattage available. Is there a particular residence at this location that is receiving too much light? Duke Energy will need to know this information in order to make improvements. Thank you.

Lights across from 307 Hillcrest Road are too bright and disturbing people trying to sleep in the second story bedrooms that face Hillcrest Road. Can shields be put on lights and/or their brightness lowered? Pole # RDJ63 and Pole # RDJ62. Thanks!

I hate to be the dissenter, but those bright lights make it much safer for me, as a pedestrian, when I walk around our community at night. Peds and cyclists are almost invisible on our streets in the dark. I liked the aesthetic of the old sodium vapor lights, with their cozy orange glow. But the new LED lights make us all safer. Give them time and perhaps y'all will get used to them. (Yes, we have them on our street, too.)

Could the City of Raleigh please confirm that they have received my comment from 5/23 and whether anything can be done to help our situation? Due to these lights, we have two bedrooms that are now difficult to sleep in. Thank you for a response! I'm cutting and pasting my original post below.

Please refrain from making broad assumptions about TAX PAYING residents’ desired magnitude of street lighting. I find the new lights to be obnoxious and intrusive.

Kate. Staff received your request and Duke will evaluate the request. Please know that the shields are on back-order and Duke does not expect to get any for another two weeks. It is possible that your lights do not need shields but just readjusting.
