Description
This issues is still ongoing and I am amazed that little is being done to correct it. While every year city workers remove and replace the sewer covers for maintenance, there are typically 20% or more that are not put back properly.
Something needs to be done. And not just here, but all over the city, from what I can tell. Someone's going to get killed. I could think of one memo that could go out: "Remember, when reinstalling a sewer grate after cleaning, the tab lines up with the notch. Tab. Notch. Everyone got that?" I have gone through the trouble of putting together a spoof video showing a typical training session with someone who just can't seem to get it right...

But all kidding aside, that these sewer grates are like this at all is bad enough. That it's been going on for so long verges on criminal negligence.

How hard can it be to install these grates? Tab. Notch. Line them up. Check out my satire video, "Bob the City Worker" on YouTube, to see my imagined explanation as to why things are the way they are.
