I have witnessed some very close calls involving vehicles and children at this intersection. This is due to the lack of vision when driving on 22nd Street. You tree is too big.
The vehicles that travel up and down 6th Avenue West drive at an alarming high speed. The curve of the hill also prevents one from seeing an oncoming vehicle until it is almost on top of you. The cutting or trimming of the tree will not correct the problem of high risk of collision. Speed bumps and or yeid signs strategically placed would slow down traffic so oncoming vehiccle and foot traffic that need to cross/ access this road would have a lower risk of collision....or place a speed trap in posiotioning police in allies behind 19th Strret West in the middle of this hill and ticket those that drive at high risk speeds before a collision happens.
This intersection needs a 4-way stop. The tree isn't the only thing that blocks your vision. There is a power box or something on a pole on the North side of the intersection and if vehicles are parked on the street, it's a mad dash with fingers crossed to get through the intersection safely.
