Yet again year after year, this very tall hedge wall is growing over the sidewalk. The City should require it to be set back from the sidewalk so it would not be so imposing on pedestrians. At the very least require the hedge to be cut back on a slant away from the sidewalk so people can pass each other without going onto the green space.

Today there was a contractor cutting the hedge. However, the hedge was trimmed incorrectly and needs to be done again. The hedge was trimmed so that the hedge is narrowest at the bottom and wider as it goes up. Since the hedge was planted too close to the sidewalk the upper part of the hedge after trimming sticks out over the sidewalk and will stick out even more as the hedge grows.
The hedge needs to be trimmed so it slants away from the sidewalk rather than towards the sidewalk as it is now.
