I happened to look out the window as the gentle breeze was gently moving around the white flowers on the trees on the greenbelt next to the pole. Then I noticed the branches were also pushing around the wires leading to our house. That made me glad it was not a strong breeze.

Yet again year after year, this very tall hedge wall is growing over the sidewalk. The City should require it to be set back from the sidewalk so it would not be so imposing on pedestrians. At the very least require the hedge to be cut back on a slant away from the sidewalk so people can pass each other without going onto the green space.

Have Champlain College remove the two signs in the City owned green space on Maple Street pointing to their Admissions Office. They said they would remove them in the spring and it is now spring.

Champlain College again has volcano mulched many trees along City owned green space on South Willard and Maple Streets. Get them to reverse the volcano mulching on City owned trees asap as it will kill the trees. They should do that to their own trees too, but if they prefer to pay to replace them, that is their money, not City money.

The hedge on 276 College Street sticks out into the sidewalk so far nobody on a wheelchair can get past. Nor can two people walking by each other pass without one of them walking on the greenbelt.

The hedge needs to be cut back several inches from the edge of the sidewalk rather than sticking into the sidewalk several inches as it is now.

Can this please be corrected before the leaves start to take up even more of the public space.

    Thanks,

I tried to use the app on my 4s iPhone to take a picture since it was worth 1000 words, but the app is still totally broken, will not even open up.

So, here is a description, the sidewalk from 270 - 292 South Willard Street is broken and at least two of the squares are now totally gone down to the mud. It is time to replace it.

    Thanks,

Wire is hanging down, too inviting

While the hedge has been trimmed, it needs to be trimmed back until it no longer blocks any portion of the sidewalk. This hedge prevents two people from passing each other easily and pushes a wheelchair user partly off the sidewalk.

Is it legal to have a non-city sign in city owned green space?

Property owner's hedge greatly encroaching on sidewalk preventing pedestrians from walking, except maybe single file. Certainly cannot pass with a stroller or wheelchair.
