Greenwich Post, 7-29-10 issue.

I live at 39. One branch of this tree did fall about a year ago and damaged a neighbors car. It looks like it will take a coordinated effort of CL&P and the Town Tree dept. So ... COORDINATE. It will be less costly and LESS inconvenient than waiting for those huge branches to come down and rip down the wires - electric, phone, cable - with them.

seems appropriate that the Town will not be proactive and responds only when they have to. As usual they turn a blind eye just like they did with Isalnd Beach until enough publicity embarassed them into action.

This has not been resolved. I guess it's the old 'let's wait and see attitude'. No one the Town or CLP will do anything until it becomes an emergency which affects everyone on the street. I guess they want to get their overtime pay for coming out in an emergency.

Well it was finally taken down not by the Twon (as it should ave been) but by the storm Sandy. While the storm took it down 2 cars were damaged, one So much for having heat and electricity.

This issue has been resolved by Storm Sandy which felled the tree causing power outage. The neighborhood was without power for at least a week.

I guess nature had to take care what the Town would not. Eventually the Electric Company did what the Town wouldn't which was to remove the debris and it's trunk also.

Thank the Town of Greenwich for nothing - where do my taxes go. All I see is that they increase and services get wasted such as having snow plows on the road when no snow is coming down. What a waste of overtime.
