When traveling north/south on 100th st, the wait times at the lights on 68th ave are excessive. I don't know if the weight sensors aren't working properly or if the lights run on a timer, but I will sit at a red light for minutes before it turns green, even when no traffic is moving on 68th ave. This is frustrating, and I've seen several people run the red lights after waiting for them to change for minutes.

Thank you for you comment, the lights are not activated by weight sensors at the intersection. they are video detected. The signals are timed to cycle through the intersection to allow movements in all directions. Most of the time is placed on the east/west movement as the heavy volume of traffic is on the east/west corridor, however the timing is cycled through to allow the north/south movement to proceed.
If you are refering to the exclusive left turn movements they are based on detection of the vehicle that has stopped before the stop bar. If a vehicle passes the stop bar, the detector has assumed that the vehicle has already made the movement and will not activate the light till that vehicle has moved out completely and another one had made its way to the stop bar.
We will still monitor this intersection and undertake an analysis for the 68 Avenue Corridor.
