I, too, have been a recipient of that. Usually, we're in a group, so people see us easier. But, Beth is right, some people just won't stop.

Daily I watch cars zip through this because I work right there. People are hesitant to cross because the cars do not stop. I find myself always second guessing whether it's safe to cross or not.

Daily, I watch cars fly through this crosswalk. The safest time to cross is when the light at 21St and West End is red for those on 21st Ave. That's sad that cars don't yield to pedestrians.

I have seen no unmarked patrol monitoring this. Driver's fly through these and I really worried that someone will get hit. When I approach the crossing, I stop to make sure all the cars are stopped before I even attempt to cross.

Just this past week (12/5-12/9/11) I almost got hit twice by people who don't stop when other cars do. One person may stop, but then the other lanes don't pay attention and don't stop. This is a serious problem.

The drivers are not stopping and IF they do, the begin to inch forward before you get across the street. They act put out that they have to stop to let pedestrians cross. I can't tell you how many times I've almost been hit.

I am scared to cross 21st because people blast through the "It's the Law,Yield to Pedestrians"

Cars don't stop, they fly through and you have to cross at your own risk,kind of like playing the game "Frogger:

Nothing has been done to ensure that the drivers stop for this. The risk of pedestrians being hit is still high

still, nothing is done about making the cars stop for pedestrians.

The one flashing light is apparently not enough to get people's attention. It is dangerous for folks trying to cross hoping that the drivers will stop.

issue has been open since September 2011. Since nothing has been done to make these people stop, I've posted this issue 2-3 other times since this original post. If patrol would be there and they get ticketed, they might realize that it is a "State Law", just like seatbelts and no texting and driving.
