Elected officials could care less. They’re just in this for personal gain and their personal agendas. Just like the 6th ward common council member who represents our neighborhood…Instead of addressing quality of life issues that torment us all, she’s focused all of her resources on creating and passing city legislation that will make it a law requiring DGS to send out a text alert before a tree is cut down. Not a single quality of life issue on her agenda. WAKE UP PEOPLE! THIS IS WHAT YOURE VOTING FOR. There is a pile of trash by my house on hudson that has been there for a month. You’d think someone would give just a single F. Even a half of F would be nice. But nope, text alerts laws on the trees are more important.

Thats sounds like great legislation. We need more trees!

I agree with anonymous. With all do respect Ms Romero, the trees are important but your tree legislation should be put on hold until quality of life issues are addressed. This neighborhood is on a steep and dangerous downhill decline. I can admit that I have friends and family who refuse to visit anymore because issues. You can’t even walk to a lark st establishment without being harassed for money or have a junk1e threaten you.

My understanding is that this legislation is councilman Anane's. The above people should educate themselves before posting false info.

Can some legislation be introduced to combat the aggressive panhandling and rampant, public iv drug use, also folks publicly urinating and defecating in the parks, fireworks and reckless drivers of all vehicles. I agree we need more trees, but other things need to come first. I too have friends and family that won’t set foot in the area and though I miss them, I certainly don’t blame them. It isn’t safe.
