Deskripsyon
At the corner of Skipton & Buckhill, a pipe was removed a year or two ago which ran underneath the road. The excavation was never properly filled, leaving a hole approximately 1 foot in diameter, surfacing on one side of the street, then going down several feet before turning horizontally beneath the paved road.
My dog fell into this hole today. I caught her just before her head went below ground. She is limping and injured now, either due to the fall or my pulling her up. But had I not done so, she would have continued slipping further underneath the road into a worse predicament.
My council representative, Kathy Graziano, happened to be walking by just after I retrieved my dog. You can contact her if you need to verify any of this information. For the moment, I have laid a sheet of plywood over the hole, which you can discard once your crew arrives. Please see to this immediately before a more serious injury occurs.
