230 11 Ave New York, NY 10001 - ChelseaThe MTA is creating a huge hazard on 10th Avenue. They have cordoned off the east sidewalk entirely for equipment to build the subway extension. However, this neighborhood has nightly Art receptions. Patrons are forced to walk north on the street itself--facing traffic at night--in order to get from 25th to 26th st. Many of these pedestrians are coming from a gallery where alcohol was served. It's only a matter of time before there's a fatality. Most egregious is that it's clearly visible that the space cordoned off is not being used at all.
The MTA has a responsibility to provide safe passage on the east side of 10th Avenue from 25th to 26th Street -
Post to Neighbors Open520 W 17th St New York, NY 10011, USA - Chelseathe customers at Manhattan mini storage constantly misuse the sidewalk as a parking lot. they force pedestrians, strollers or even wheelchairs into the uneven cobblestone street. it has always annoyed me but today I witnessed a young mother attempting to navigate this obstruction with her double stroller and decided it is time to report this issue before someone gets hurt.
