Notified About

S Boylan Ave & Dupont Cir Raleigh, NC, 27603, USA - Central
The sidewalk ramp where South Boylan Avenue crosses Dupont Circle is poorly marked, poorly maintained, and often blocked by parked vehicles. Can we get it maintained, re-marked, and possibly have a crosswalk marked there and/or signage to stop people from parking over the ramp?

    Hi,

I live downtown and frequently drive on Person St. heading north. Every Sunday there is overflow of cars parking on Person St. in a no parking zone. This impedes traffic and now will block the new bike lane. I have witnessed this for months and nothing ever changes. Is the city aware of this big of a violation?

    Thanks,

    Amos Vannoy

Every Saturday a group gathers with loud speakers blaring hateful messages on the corner of Martin and Blount in Moore Square. This directly impacts all park goers in addition to the apartments next door where it sounds like a they are standing in your living room shouting at you. Please enforce maximum decibels they can blare their message. It is completely debilitating for those nearby.

Again, City uses multiple backpack blowers to blow leaves into the street at 4:00 am. In violation of the noise ordinance, resulting in very high noise levels inside numerous residential units. With many more on the way

This could be taken care of during the day with rakes or brooms.

Many leaves end up in the storm drains.

This is not the way to encourage downtown living.

Over 50% of the vehicles headed northbound on S. East St. run through the stop sign located at the corner of E. South St. This is due to a quarter mile of S. East St. between S. East St. and Martin Luther King Rd becoming a racing dragstrip for local traffic. I would like to request signage communicating a stop sign ahea, preferably located at the corner of S. East St. and worth Street. And this would give plenty of notification for north bound travelers to see the slightly obstructed stop sign at E. South St.d
  • 5 E Hargett St Raleigh, NC 27601, USA - Central
there is nowhere to allow a car to stand to enable dropping off passengers and luggage for the airport bus at the GoRaleigh bus station. The No Parking sign on Hargett could be changed to allow passenger drop off. this could benefit all bus routes as well.

Silver sedan, full of trash, reported 4/1/19 but no apparent action taken. This vehicle has now been in the same position for years. The owner lives at the address where the vehicle is located. Time to do something about this!
  • 120 S Blount St Raleigh, NC, 27601, USA - Blount Corridor
This is a daily problem and there are numerous cars daily blocking the sidewalk. Ive taken photos of at least 5 cars at once. This sidewalk is frequented by lots of children going to Marbles, strollers and now with Moore Square open more and more pedestrians. How has no one fixed this? Parents and children are forced to go through the parking lot because strollers cant fit on the grass and there's a big drop off from the sidewalk to the grass. Please put in parking blocks so that rude people will stop blocking the sidewalk. This vehicle is the most dangerous I have seen to date.

I am wondering when you are going to remove the cones and re-stripe the street. Also This side of the intersection needs a crosswalk.
  • 319 Fayetteville St Raleigh, NC, 27601, USA - Central
The city routinely uses 4 backpack blowers for an hour at 4 am to blow leaves and trash into the street for the street sweeper, violating the noise ordinance. It is quite loud when echoing against the buildings. The city should seek alternative methods to clear sidewalks. It seems as though this is being done in part to abuse the homeless. Major cities do not clean their sidewalks this way. The city has often encouraged people to live in the downtown area.

The city drainage system dumps into this cesspool of a pond that is polluted from garbage and people dumping waste. This disgusting water collection area is now toxic and a breeding ground for mosquitoes, cockroaches, and many other disgusting insects. Because this area is inadequately Maintained, the entire neighborhood and two blocks in all directions, have to suffer from the insect infestation. Please have someone come out to treat for mosquitoes and clean up the area from trash and debris.

I routinely encounter vehicles parked in this segment of bike lane while commuting to work in the morning (between 8-9am). This forces me into the vehicle lanes which can be confusing to drivers and creates dangerous situations. Please enforce this no parking zone (which is clearly marked by the no parking sign in the foreground of the image) more diligently. Thank you!
