Notified About

  • Chestnut Street Salem, MA - City of Salem
There are no orange 'resident parking only' signs for the Halloween season on lower Chestnut Street. Why? People ignore the "resident parking only signs" every day, ticketing never happens, and this is a high tourist traffic (auto and walking) area. Please add additional signage here.

this has been reported a few times. but the situation in mack park is still an issue. today I noticed the big tent was gone, but after walking closer, I noticed that the table, chairs, water bottles, two grills and campfire were all still there and showed signs of use. there is a pile of burnt wood (campfire) in the dry brush, and there is a pile of used clothing, food, garbage, waste and more. when I looked again, I realized that the smaller of the two tents just moved a bit deeper into the treeline, about 5 feet or so, so you cant see it from the stairs or the field, but the tent in there with a bunch of sleeping bags. everything is in the same general location as before (left from the top of the back stairs).

  • Chestnut St Salem, Ma 01970 - City of Salem
Railing Barrier blocking Flint to Chestnut St, needs to be removed for weekdays. To allow normal traffic flow when it is not the weekend. I literally just had to backup onto the Sidewalk because the Tour Bus was entering From Essex St to take the Tourists down Chestnut St. The Barrier on Flint needs to be removed on weekdays. Prior to this traffic calming, vehicles did not have to backup at all?

  • 95 Mason Street Salem, Massachusetts, 01970 - City of Salem
As shown in the street view screenshot: when I back out of my drive way, the passenger wheels go over the granite curb. Unfortunately people have a tendency to park right on the edge of the granite curb, blocking me in. I would like to have a sign posted (like 3 or 4 feet from the curb edge) stating: DO NOT PARK HERE TO THE CURB and/or DO NOT BLOCK DRIVEWAY.
  • 20-20 Broad St Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem
Apparently truck drivers consistently ignore No Trucks signs on entrances to Broad and Dalton. This is one of many examples of the size of tractor trailers that routinely use Broad to avoid traffic lights and traffic circles near our neighborhood. We must have prominent signs at each entry and, most importantly, ENFORCEMENT!
