    Log jam under New Bern Avenue bridge that crosses over the Neuse River. Is the bridge safe?

    The bridge here that goes of the Neuse River is very dark and has no lighting or traffic markers. There have been numerous accidents over the past year here.
    I request that there should be street lights installed by duke energy for the safety of vehicles and pedestrians that use this bridge to cross over.

    I've adopted New Bern Avenue (NC DOT adopt-a-hwy program) from Corporation pkwy to the Neuse River. Along that stretch there are about 800 ft of plastic flex conduit on the South side of New Bern Avenue, starting at the Neuse River, and ending about 800 feet West of the river. I don't know how long it's been there, but it's been there at least since last November, which is when I first saw it. Up until now it was laying on the other side of the crash barrier (away from the pavement), but today I pulled it to the other side of the barrier so that it would be more visible and hopefully get taken away by city, county or state.

    The greenway crossing sign on the 1600 block of Hodge Rd and Princeton View in Knightdale NC was knocked down. It warns drivers there are people crossing Hodge Rd in 350 feet. It's an important sign.

    About 20 yards from the Neuse River, directly under the New Bern Ave bridge, on the East side of the river, there is a large (king) mattress. I hauled about 9 bags of trash out from under that bridge and up to my truck on the road above, but the mattress is too big and too heavy.
