Received a request for a new street light.

Messages such as the large "Black Lives Matter" painted on Winslow Way is accepted as a moral statement but is also viewed as political speech that advocates the defunding of police departments and other actions that ultimately impact public safety. Remarks by members of our City Council favor exploring the defunding of our Police Department as documented in the Bainbridge Island Review. These public statements by the City Council should make us all ask ourselves if we are being responsibly represented. Since painting messages on public streets now appears to be accepted as free speech it will be interesting to watch which speech we tolerate and whether free speech actually exists in Bainbridge Island at all.

New construction driveway without culvert is diverting water from the ditch on the north side of quail hill road into the road.

The owners of this home which is adjacent to ours have removed a fir tree, cleared the land and per their attorney are planning to grade and fill for a parking area without the necessary permits and approval.

8220 Quail Hill road is using their tractor to dump roots/stumps and other debris over their property line onto the neighboring vacant lot

Bike lanes on Wing Point are unusable due to debris from February storms.

Someone has spray painted a giant orange 'private prop no trespass' message on a concrete block in the city easement along Ridge Lane NE. It's maybe 6' long and 2' high and jarringly garish along a nice neighborhood lane.

The intersection of Sunrise & Valley has two stop signs. Traffic travelling on Sunrise must stop at the intersection but traffic on Valley does not. This creates a dangerous situation for cars on Sunrise.This intersection needs to be a four-way stop. I live south of the intersection on Sunrise, when I approach the intersectio (heading north)n I often cannot see the traffic on Valley becaus to the left, large US post office truck park on the stree and, on the right there's a hill and trees that make it hard to see approaching cars. This is actually a very busy intersection during the day and it seems like an oversight that it's not already a four-way stop. Similar problems apply when driving south on Sunrise.

After searching Title 12 of municipal code I could not determine whether the numerous sandwich signs on the sideway between the Gateway entrance and EricksonWinslow Way violate code. However, they are visual eyesores, occupy public space for private benefit, are not protected speech, and with few exceptions are not even in proximity to the businesses they advertise. The Barrecor sign stands out by its size and the fact that the business it promotes is nearly a mile from the sign's location.

The new Harbor View development appears to be constructing a road to join Ferncliff opposite Hawley Way NE where there is no such road shown on the site image displayed on the fence. Is this an approved change to the planned development? Such a road is unnecessary and will add traffic to Ferncliff while creating a more difficult (new) junction at Hawley Way. In addition, this road has reduced the already small green space and cut a tree down...
