    Mattresses, rugs and overflowing dumpster full of garbage and trash has been behind the apartment building at 691 Seward. The regular trash and recycling in this alley between Delaware and Seward (between Second and Third) has not occurred for a few weeks, if not longer.

    Mattresses have been at this site for more than 3 months, directly under a no dumping sign. This is in the Delaware-Seward alley directly behind 691 Seward (New Center Court Apts). More items keep getting added over the months, like rugs, etc. Property management of the building was alerted and were uncooperative. It appears to be tenants of the building who continue to do this. Many residents on Seward and Delaware have to use this alley daily for their residential parking as it is the only way to access garages for homes and parking lots for apartments. Also, the building's garbage dumpster has been overflowing with debris blowing around the alley. Can this property owner get fined? It will keep happening with consequences. Mattresses sitting out for months attract rodents and critters and bugs. It is a health issue as well as a blight one.

    This basin has been clogged for probably 2 to 3 months. it is along the bike line on Cass and I ride my bike to work on that route. Bikes can't get through so you have to either move into the car lane or go onto sidewalk. It is on the west side of Cass, north of Baltimore, under the overpass.
