  • Sand Hill Rd Menlo Park CA 94025, United States - Menlo Park

I am a resident of Menlo Park and a parent at Oak Knoll. We bike to school and noticed the in street sensor at the corner of Sand Hill and Oak Ave does not seem to be working. Or it does not detect bicycles. When there is no car at the Oak side of the intersection the traffic light does not change to allow cyclists to cross Sand Hill.

Would you please open a ticket for this and investigate?

Chair on sidewalk in front of my home.
  • Sand Hill Rd Menlo Park CA 94025, United States - Menlo Park
Left turn arrow from eastbound sand hill to northbound Santa Cruz is out
  • Junipero Serra Blvd & Santa Cruz Ave Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA - Menlo Park
The Southbound Santa Cruz Ave has 3 lanes at the intersection with Junipero Serra Blvd: 1 left hand turn lane, one left and straight lane, and one straight lane. There are 2 lights: a left hand turn arrow and a separate light for the straight lane. The lights appear to be linked, with traffic only permitted to go straight when the left hand turn is also allowed. To my understanding, the presence of that middle turn / straight lane should not prevent keeping the straight light green by default.

It would tremendously improve congestion at this intersection and on Sand Hill Road if you could 1) change the current timing so that the Southbound left turn and straight lights are independent of each other and 2) make the straight arrow green by default except when Junipero Serra Blvd traffic is turning left onto Santa Cruz.

Someone has illegally dumped two shelving units on the sidewalk outside of our fence. We are on the “northeast-ish” corner of Sterling and Alameda de las Pulgas, and the furniture has been left on the Alameda de las Pulgas side of our property.

  • Sand Hill Rd & Sharon Park Dr Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA - Menlo Park
Sand Hill Road traveling east. The intersection of Sharon Park Drive has a left turn traffic signal. It's not working properly because the pine tree branches are blocking the traffic cameras from seeing the cars positioned to turn left into the Sharon Park Drive shopping center. So several times, I've waited for minutes watching all other traffic go several times, with some drivers going through the red light to turn left after getting tired of waiting or thinking that the traffic lights aren't working. The pine tree branchs need to be cut so that the traffic cameras can see the cars trying to turn left from Sand Hill Road to Sharon Park Drive.
