Local resident use the lot as an illegal parking lot. Multiple unresolved ECB and DoB fines. It is time for Community Board 17 to address this eyesore that chronically collects major violations in default. Thank you.

    I moved to this apartment on February 5,2009 at
    2322 Bedford Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11226.That was a
    ery cold and stormy period but desite several appeals to the landlord,Regent Associates,1309,79st
    in Brooklyn,they arroantly refused to provide any heat to my apartment at all.Due to the extreme cold I
    experienced at that time I was hospitalized at Kingsbrook Jewish Hospital for 4 days with
    Pneumonia.I am getting the same response from the
    landlord this winter and so far I've had about 5
    asthma attacks. My Thermometer reading at this time
    Jan. 8,2010- 10:10 pm is 43 degrees.I'll have to sleep
    in the closet as I've been doing,not comfortable but
    what else.Landlords are out of control and no it's
    being treated with over-the-counter prescription by
    the authorities.This is the same situation every winter as far as I can remember.It is cronic while the
    officials and enforcers have warm toasy residence.
    I have Arthritis,Astma,Herniated Discs,HBP and has
    to live with this NO-HEAT situation with no resolve.

    Auto shop located at 2470 Bedford is parking vehicles on sidewalk outside of the adjacent unoccupied commercial property (recently sold to a developer) during business hours instead of keeping cars inside their garage/business/building. The business has “no parking” cones in front of its own storefront (see orange and yellow cone in photo) but is nevertheless using the adjacent sidewalks for parking the vehicles they are repairing (see white car with raised hood in photo). This is in violation of their C of O and the variance for operating an auto shop in a residential zone granted recently by Community Board 14. I hope CB14 sees that this business is not following the rules set by the Dept of Buildings and the community board, and will withdraw the variance!
