Notified About

  • 570-598 34th Street Oakland, California - Pill Hill
There is a park at the end of my street, to the right of the 24 freeway that is getting worse with graffiti and illegal dumping as well as people sleeping in tents and there is even an area people are using to cook with propane — a fire hazard on top of it all. I have called the police and DPW many times for not just drug use and prostitution on my street -- 33rd street where it curves to 34th -- but now the park where we usually take our dogs is now skid row. On top of our cars getting broken into 5 times, please help clean up the park as well as the illegal dumping on 33rd st. It would be great to be considered for street sweeping as well. Broken glass, garbage and used condoms stay on our street forever, and I am getting fed up, as are my neighbors. Please put us on your cleanup radar! I see the park is not actually named on the city map, but it is across the freeway from Grove Shafter Park

Next door to 820 32nd st construction was started. They opened a trench that is now full of mosquito water. Illegal dumpers have been dumping in the back yard.
  • 3015 Martin Luther King Jr Way Oakland, California - Hoover-Foster
this trash has been dumped on the bus stop for almost a week. the city has driven by several times but never bothered to pick it up. what's wrong with the city? I thought Jean Quan had some big initiative about illegal dumping. this is really gross.

    661 34th Street Oakland California - Hoover-Foster
The homeless encampment has got to go on MLK between 36th and 37th streets. It's a den of drugs, prostitution, and garbage. You can't even walk on the sidewalk - both sides are completely blocked.
I've filed a grievance with the police dept to enforce the laws that prohibit these tent cities, but I'm sure it will go nowhere. Someone has to do something, though. This area is a direct route to BART for many of us and it's dangerous and disgusting.
  • 898 30th St Oakland, California - Hoover-Foster
Garbage, dumping, and graffiti a routine issue at the empty property on 30th st at san pablo.
  • Grove Shafter Freeway Oakland, California - Pill Hill

29th Street between MLK & Telegraph.

This is the second time we caught this illegal dumper in the act. Reported them to Law Corps, provided photos of his license plates and of him trying to get away. Nothing happened!

Caught him again, dumping in the exact same spot as he did before. So this time we stopped and asked if he has a business card, he gave it to us...will provide it to Law Corps again. Will anything happen?

  • 516 31st Street Oakland, CA 94609, USA - Pill Hill
Trash from the halal marketplace (again and again and again). This is still a weekly issue and the business should be fined or something.
  • 873 30th Street Oakland, CA 94608, USA - Hoover-Foster
UPDATE 9/10/14: Last night a MATTRESS was dumped across the street from this disgusting mess of dumped garbage on BOTH SIDES of the street.
NOTE TO OAKLAND DEPARTMENT OF ILLEGALLY DUMPED WASTE: If you only pick up the reported issues and don't look across the street and ALSO GRAB THE NEW GARBAGE dumped there because of all the other stuff (news flash: dumping attracts more dumping), then your Department will just have to come out again and again to the same sites.
Please stop wasting gas and resources by allowing this ineffective practice to continue -- attend to both sides of the streets when you are picking up at please! We shouldn't have to put in separate Issues each time for both sides of the same City block. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
  • 3407 Elm St Oakland, CA, 94609, USA - Pill Hill
Again there are tents going up on the other side of street under pass. as well as a couch and broken down vehichles! I have several pictures of all the garbage you have not removed. Telegraph is a major historical street in Oakland. This is a business area , not some warehouse dock!
