    Recycling not picked up.
  • Penrith Road - Portland
The City of Portland website said Thursday (Thanksgiving) trash/recycling pick up was rescheduled to Saturday...but pick up did not happen. A big problem considering recycling is now overflowing and anything not able to fit in the bin will not be picked up. Is there a plan to deal with this? And why was the Saturday make up date not honored?

This is one of about 4 power lines that are broken and down on Penrith Rd and dangling dangerously and/or on the ground. We have heard no update other than “assessing” from CMP. Kids live on this street - looking for any info on timing to get these lines more safely managed. None of the houses on this street have power either. Thank you for any support or help you can provide!

Consistently when it snows our entire street(Penrith Rd) is not plowed. Either it’s just the center or big swaths of snow in the street remain. This picture is of Penrith road today at 4pm towards the Westbrook side that was not plowed. To explain, we had already called the city earlier today because only one narrow center lane of our street (Penrith) was plowed. So I called and was told “that’s how they do it, they do a quick pass down the center and come back later to plow the rest.” I explained that it had been several hours and no one had come back yet. I also explained I was calling because this happens regularly with no one “coming back”. This creates issues for walking, driving when 2 cars are passing, when storing trash for collection and gets worse as snow continues during the season. The whole street should be cleared when it snows and ideally all at the same time please, which is what used to happen a couple of years ago, but seems to have become rare. Someone came back today which is appreciated, but they left this large swath at the end of the street which is an issue, especially because this is the bus stop location for kids. Thank you for your attention and please help us with this ongoing issue, we appreciate it.

These train tracks are an ongoing issue, I have seen many posts about it over 2 years and the issue has never truly been resolved. The road STILL needs to be repaired to make crossing less destructive for vehicles AND in addition the sidewalk at the tracks is missing asphalt. As a result, when using a stroller I need to go into the street to cross the tracks which defeats the purpose of a sidewalk. I have seen a crew filling potholes on Frost but don't understand why this hasn't been addressed. We have noticed very responsive results from community posts on this app. so are perplexed as to why this is still a problem. Please help! Thank you!!! :)

The button for this light is missing...it's just the internal mesh and not a proper button...it's been like this for a very long time...over a year at least? Would be great to have it fixed as I walk this route almost daily with a stroller/small kids. Thank you!!!!!

I was walking with a baby stroller on Westbrook and needed to cross Congress to continue onto Westbrook. Due to the snowbank, I couldn't reach the walk light button with the stroller and had to stand in the road and thankfully people stopped to let us cross. Please clear that sidewalk area so folks walking from The Tate House side of Westbrook can access the walk button and safely wait for traffic to stop - right now it is extremely dangerous! Thank you!

A ton of ice at the end of Penrith Road leading onto Westbrook, would be great if some sand could be applied to ensure a safer breaking area.

The area where the train tracks cross Frost Street need to be made less hazardous to cars crossing - appears as if some potholes and decayed asphalt need to be fixed-people are driving to avoid the damage to their cars every day. Thank you!!!
