  • Franklin Street Portland Maine - Portland

It's mid-August. Residents have been reporting since MAY about how dangerous Franklin St. is eastbound through the Marginal Way intersection, and STILL no repainted dashed lines through the intersection to make it clear what lane a car should travel in, both through and right after the intersection.

How many accidents and near-accidents is it going to take, City of Portland? How many reports here and elsewhere by residents and others about **this specific intersection** is it going to take, City of Portland?

I moved into the city (bought property) a few years ago for many, many reasons, and generally love living here. But the impression I'd had for decades of Portland, Maine, being a functional, first-rate, well-run city is fading fast with inaction like this, City of Portland.

  • 211 Marginal Way Portland, Maine - Portland

There are reports stretching back SEVEN WEEKS now, but still, no action by the city of Portland.

Again, this evening, another narrowly averted crash because of a *COMPLETE* lack of painting on the lanes on eastbound Franklin Arterial at Marginal.

What's it going to take, city of Portland? How many accidents?

Astounding to me that this hasn't been taken care of yet.

When are lanes going to be painted onto Franklin Arterial through Marginal Way intersection eastbound? Hundreds of times a day, eastbound vehicles unknowingly shifting left, into wrong lane, with significant collision potential.
