This is a path in the Huron Parkway ROW, the path closer to Cloverdale and Hilldale than Larkspur. Obviously a lot of snags fell and took out other trees during last week's heavy snow. It's a popular trail for walkers and bicyclist. Quickest access is from Hilldale at Cloverdale. Follow trail about 1/4 mile.

2 street tree stumps across the street were removed yesterday. Mine was not touched. I hope I wasn't overlooked. One of the trees across the street and mine were cut down after the ice storm. Since my easement is all garden, please do not sow grass seed if that is normal policy.

A few good sized limbs came down at Cloverdale Park with the recent thunderstorm. I've dragged them to the curb. It's too big a pile for a pickup truck unless chopped into pieces.

Japanese knotweed persists in Greenway, city ROW between Cloverdale and Larkspur streets. It's in the same area between the parallel paths in the Greenway and has reappeared between path and Larkspur houses. Scattered plants found there. I would be glad to tag them before crews come out in the fall if that would be helpful.

White mulberry on western edge of park damaged in ice storm. Has a crack all the way through trunk and is now leaning badly. Neighbor removed one large section of trunk (triple trunk tree) as it was damaged and leaning on his roof. A second mulberry 10 yards north of this one is smaller, has similar damage and starting to lean.

Stop sign bolted to sidewalk has 2 very loose bolts. This is on Murfin going west at the intersection with Hubbard.

Cloverdale Park, western edge near fence. Trees damaged by snow storm. Large center crack on one limb and another limb broken and now at 90 degree angle. White mulberries, I think.

Tree down and took down line to park safety light. (I reported downed line to DTE). Many other downed limbs in park, some are street trees. Stellar and Cloverdale

Severe damage to Frontier Elm here and the elm across the street at 380. Broken limbs blocking sidewalk and part of the street at 377.

Downed tree at Cloverdale Park (still attached at base). There are other downed limbs that I dragged to the curb, some left by trimmers who removed an overhanging, broken willow branch earlier this week.

There are many downed tree limbs along the asphalt path connecting the 2 Hilldales. I cut them enough so that the many walkers and bikers could get through except for one tree which was too big for me to handle. It remains across the path. I dragged limbs to Hilldale and along the path in hopes it will be removed and chipped. I have spent many, many hours restoring native plants to the area now covered with downed branches. Please pick up the limbs set along and at the end of this path. There is a broken street light in the same path that has already been reported.

Japanese knotweed in greenway. I've reported this for 3-4 years straight and am told it is being "monitored". This year, the patch increased in size and jumped the path to land that is contiguous with Larkspur backyards. In recent years, it had been contained between the 2 east-west pathways.

Both my cart and the one at 366 Cloverdale were missed today. Others on the block have already been picked up.

Japanese knotweed which has been reported in past years is expanding. Now occupies roughly half a tennis court. GPS location: 42.18'25"N. 83.44'23"W Since this is a prohibited species, it must be treated. Please contact me when this has been done. This is in city Right-of-way. take the first path east from Larkspur/ Hilldale dead in.

Two of the newly planted trees are dead. One on the north side of the street at the bottom of the hill in Cloverdale Park. The other is opposite this one.

I have an Ulmus "Frontier" that was just pruned at my request. I thought the first cluster of limbs on the west side of the trunk was going to be a problem with included bark as the limbs grew. But what do I know. Anyway, the photo shows the technic of the middle aged guy wielding a chainsaw. If you blow it up a bit, you'll see that he went bottom up and cut into the main limb. I have a photo of another flush cut that entered a different branch. Let's talk about branch bark collar or the lack thereof. I know from the first pruning job years ago that this tree does not compartmentalize well. On a positive note, the ground crew was respectful of my tulips. Thank you guys.

Poison ivy was cut and killed by city several years ago. It is now falling out of the tree. Please come take what is on the ground and what can be reached that is still in the tree. This is behind clump of trees just north of sidewalk in park between playground and steep hill.

Japanese Pagoda tree limb hanging down near the ground. Trash trucks also knock limbs when they come by. Needs limbing up and pruning.

There is a tree near the park entrance which appears to have a girdling root.
