Not through kleptomania, truly, I have accumulated 3 brown and 3 blue toters under my front porch. Can I give the numbers on these to the city to find out where they really belong? I just want one of each under my porch. I look like a toter hoarder.

    Just received from the city:
"Thanks for taking the time to appeal your citation (6418343). This citation was issued for the following violation: 56 - Residential parking zone. At this time, your appeal has been declined." This was for my expired permit in first time Zone 17.
Of course I will pay, but I implore that the real violators of Zone 17 parking, the non-resident restaurant patrons, be ticketed at the times that really matter - every night and the entire weekend. The city could make a small fortune.
  • Trumbull St New Haven, Connecticut - Downtown
Please enforce no stopping/parking on Trumbull St during the 7 to 9 am period with constant towing. I'm not a suburban commuter trying to get in from outside, just a New Haven resident who has to get to the Yale Health Center at 8 am to see patients. If a car is stopped on westbound Trumbull before 9 am please tow! Thank you.

Evening violations of zone 17. How do we ask for evening and weekend enforcement?
  • 103 S Water St New Haven, Connecticut - City Point
New parking signage for new zone 17 is not in in place at the beginning of the block at the west corner of Howard Ave and S Water St.. Cars may park there without knowing that it is zoned parking.
  • 98 S Water St New Haven, Connecticut - City Point
Sign indicating right v left turn at end of Howard is lying on the ground, along with a traffic barrier post. It enables dangerous traffic into the water for drivers unfamiliar with the street and really looks awful for residents of City Point.
  • 100 S Water St New Haven, Connecticut - City Point
Telephone pole in front of the red barn at 100 S Water is starting to tilt, with 50% or more or the base rotting and splintering. This could tip at any moment. Lots of utilities for that end of S Water St hang from it, and it certainly can hurt or kill people if it falls.

81 S Water St New Haven, Connecticut - City Point
Middle of the night (1 a.m.) snow clearing of the Sound School parking lots throughout these last storms has been very disturbing. Of course the plowing has to get done, but this is a residential neighborhood. Some mercy for local residents, such as plowing more toward 5 or 6 a.m., would be welcome.
