There are 5 vacant lots here after a fire destroyed the buildings that were there. 402 Madison Ave. is owned by the Albany County land bank and is kept well. However, 404-410 are a mess. The owners are local: Michael Dudar (Cohoes: 404) Mel's Bistro (406 & 410-Manning Blvd. ) and Radomyslsky (-410, no address). They should be issued violations and be required to keep the lots clean. Erecting a fence would help keep trash and dog walkers out. These lots have been a mess for at least 6 months.

During the last snow storm, apparently, a plow caught the end of the metal edge on a street curb. There are broken pieces of metal on the sidewalk and a large piece sticking up , bent, still attached to the rest of the metal curb edge. It needs to be removed before someone is hurt or a car scrapes against it (hard to see at night)

Entire sidewalk, both on New Scotland Avenue and Woodlawn Avenue not cleared. This forces pedestrians to walk in the street or on the uncleared wet, slushy walk and during the nighttime freeze, dangerous ice. This needs to be taken care of immediately and the owner fined.

Illegal political signs on public property at Manning Blvd and Western Avenue and Manning Blvd and Washington Ave. (Joy for Congress)

Large commercial signs on two properties on Forest Avenue: a residentially zoned street where commercial advertising signs are not allowed. Addresses are 19 and 24 Forest Avenue. The signs have been displayed for weeks.

The section of Central Avenue from Ontario Street east to Henry Johnson Boulevard is filthy. Trash on the sidewalks and gutters have not been cleaned up for at least 2-3 weeks. Where is the Central Avenue BID which is one of the organizations responsible. Central Avenue is a main corridor entering Albany from the West. The heavy amount of trash does not present a very good image of one of the city's major entry points and major street.

Very high Grass and Weeds in yard

Note: Cancel 135 Ontario Street-the proper address is 135 Woodlawn Avenue--there is a side door on Ontario street with 135 on the door. But address is 135 Woodlawn. High weeds and grass. A perennial problem with this property.....the yard has not been mowed this season.

Very tall grass and weeds at this location. It continues to be a perennial problem every spring/early summer.

These vacant properties starting with 100 Holland Avenue and ending at 44 Holland Avenue still have not had windows boarded up on the first floors. This was reported more than 3 weeks ago, and nothing has been done. The lack of security on first floor windows in vacant buildings are a clear violation of the city code regarding vacant properties. The owner should be required to remedy this, or the city should secure the buildings.

There are 6 vacant and Abandoned buildings with addresses from 44 Holland to 100 Holland Avenue. In most of the houses, there are windows on the first floor that are not boarded up, which is a violation. some windows are broken because they lack a secure covering. These are beautiful properties which should not be left vulnerable. Owner is the Picotte company.

66 Glendale Avenue is a property in long time foreclosure. It has a local maintenance person under contract; however, it has been 3+ days without the sidewalk being shoveled. It soon will be beaten down by people walking through it, thus making the walking more dangerous. I have complained to the company that oversees the property, but have had no acknowledgement. The company's phone # is 800 468 1743. This has been a persistent problem property---and should be taken over by the city or county. Perhaps a call from the city can motivate them--or have a crew to clear the walk and add to the penalty fees.

The vehicle has been parked at the corner of Helderberg and Forest Avenues for over a year. It has an expired registration (see photo), no inspection certificate. The owner is either driving it without the necessary legal registration or s/he is using public property to "store" this car. In either case, it is illegal.

Junk and Construction debris has been sitting in this yard for many months. It is on the side yard and very visible from Woodlawn Avenue. Likely left there by a contractor who was/is working on the house, or by the owner/landlord

Very high unmowed front and side yards. Great breeding place for rodents and ticks. This property has had violations in the past and they continue thanks to an out-of-town owner. Is there a local manager?

Abandoned Vehicle on Helderberg Avenue between Forest Avenue and Harris Avenue (There are no corresponding addresses on Helderberg to better pinpoint a location)

This is a foreclosed property that lacks attention by the local maintenance person. The sidewalk has not been cleared. With the warmer weather, the snow will melt and then freeze making walking dangerous. There is a blind couple who often walk on the even side of Glendale, and it will be especially difficult for them.

The sidewalk in front of this property, which is an abandoned and foreclosed house, has not been cleared. The property has been a problem for this neighborhood and street. People including elderly and a blind couple who live farther down Glendale, use this sidewalk. Not having it cleaned by the management company presents a bad hazard.

General deterioration, unsafe issues including broken windows and unsafe fire escape
