In the parking zone 2903 on the north side of Hillsborough in the 2400 block, spaces 633 and 635 are still marked as reserved for valet use in the evenings, but this is no longer accurate, as no valets are stationed in these zones at any time I have observed.

    Thank you.

Stop #8238. Sign is down again. It is lying on the sidewalk, so available to re-erected.

    Thanks!

As long as I'm out here ...

This isn't really a GoRaleigh concern, but one of the rider amenities at Stop #8276 is in disrepair that seems ripe to create misfortune or minor injury.

The rear plank on the bench nearest the trash receptacle is not secured. This is NOT a big deal for folks sitting on the bench, but has been observed to create a hazard for those stepping over the back of the bench and onto the seat whilst hustling to catch a departing GoRaleigh unit / coach.

If I had a decent cordless drill, I would attempt my own repair, but I just don't own such a contraption.

Sometimes, it seems to me that it would be a favor to the community if I just removed and hid the rear bench plank, as it would diminish the utility of the bench, but diminish the hazard.

Thanks for considering attention to this concern.

► This issue is resolved! Many thanks! Piles of leaves are removed. Much appreciated.
Along the western curb of the southbound lane of St. Mary's, there has been an abundance of leaves on the curbside for 4-5 weeks.
I understand it is the duty of the private contractor maintaining the property at 927 and adjacent units in the complex to remove the leaves, but it doesn't look as though they intend to do so any time soon. Rich folks don't seem to care much for the inconvenience and risk they impose on the working class.
However, the collected organic matter creates a real nuisance for folks descending from the #8 inbound at stop #8490, as it is difficult to judge the depth. I have fallen once while carrying groceries.

At Stop #8437 typically serving OUTBOUND #8, but also now serving Outbound #12 and #16 (through end of November) there is no litter bin. Ironically there is a litter bin mounted to the bus stop sign #8493 as well as a free standing bin near the bench for that stop. Since I know the signs are being changed out, perhaps that would be a good opportunity to move the mounted litter bin at #8493 across the street to #8437?

Greetings- I live on the Gaston St. side of the 8-unit complex at the address in question. Our side has at least two more garbage cans than needed and one recycling bin that no longer has a lid. Specifically, we have six garbage bins on the Gaston St. side of the unit for 4 single-adult residents. We could easily get by with 3. Thanks for any help you can offer.

The video display on bus 1601 displayed inaccurate next stop information. Specifically while serving outbound #8 (11 a.m. departure from Moore Square) it showed next stops for the inbound route. On the inbound route (departing Six Forks and Strickland at 12:43 p.m.) the monitor displayed upcoming stops on the 24L route.

The STOP sign that commands westbound traffic on Devereaux to halt at the intersection with Gaston Street has been missing for at least 4 days. The street marker for Devereaux is also gone. As Devereaux T's into Gaston, traffic control SHOULD NOT be jeopardized, but on weekday mornings, the westbound traffic on Devereaux regularly travels above posted limits and drivers seem to be otherwise purposefully ignorant of traffic safety rules and behavior.

When the pedestrian signal switches from inviting pedestrians to cross Hillsborough to inviting pedestrians to cross Horne, the recorded announcement inaccurately declares: "WALK SIGN IS ON TO CROSS HILLSBOROUGH." In fact, the green light has just invited motorized traffic to initiate travel in an east-west direction on Hillsborough. Essentially, this error is inviting a visually impaired person to step out in front of a vehicle that has just been given a green light.

Pedestrian crossing signal located at SE corner of intersection of W. Peace St. and St. Mary's St. is facing north, and is therefore invisible to pedestrians it is intended to signal (crossing St. Mary's in an eastbound direction).

PLEASE re-open my earlier concern about the bus stop in front of the east facade of 401 Oberlin Road. This morning, coach 1284, Outbound 12 Method, leaving Moore Square Station *DID* board passengers at the shelter located as described above. *HOWEVER*, I could not see that there was any sign indicating that this was a CAT bus stop. AND, MOREOVER, the safety concern I alluded to in my earlier inquiry has not been alleviated. Specifically, the stop located about 8-9 meters North of the intersection of Oberlin and Stafford has not been moved to the site east of 401 Oberlin with passenger amenities. The stop at 401 Oberlin Road appears to be without sign, which will discourage new riders from choosing this as an initial point of engagement with the CAT system and -- arguably -- causes confusion to existing riders as to whether passenger amenities are available to all patrons or -- at certain locales -- only to an exclusive group of invitees.

The exiting stop, 8-9 meters north of the intersection of Oberlin and Stafford is a pedestrian death waiting to happen.

I sincerely invite you to ask the driver of coach 1284, Outbound 12 Method about the measures she TRIED to take to warn a passenger who had just disembarked that a vehicle was turning west onto Stafford from the Southbound center lane of Oberlin in front of the coach and wholly without regard to pedestrian traffic crossing Stafford.

This is NOT an irregular occurrence and – in fact – will become less infrequent as the 401 building becomes more completely occupied.

I appreciate that the current stop on Oberlin is convenient for workers and patrons (including many seniors) wishing to visit the McDonald's on Oberlin Road and Cameron, but – on balance – I think the physical welfare and even lives of the few folks who disembark and trod south on the Oberlin sidewalk trumps the imposition of a few extra steps to reach the workplace or free coffee.

Very small thing ... Likely ... But the actuator for the crossing signal available to pedestrians traveling westbound from the Intersection of Oberlin and Cameron is loose from the utility pole and hanging upside-down. It is otherwise operational and ... I regret to say I am unable to move the little locator on the See-Click-Fix map to where the problem actually exists.

The "Stop Requested" signal bell on the driver's side of CAT coach 1265 has not been working for approximately one week.
