  • Sidewalk Repair Acknowledged

    Good afternoon ,

The broken sidewalk I reported in front of my home (that was deemed just fine and closed) peeled my toe back like a potato this morning When reviewing reports like broken and/or raised sidewalks, please consider that it does get hot here and wearing sandals shouldn't be a risky decision

    Thankya kindly,

We have five different squares of sidewalk over here that are broken or cracked in half. Some of them are worse than others. A couple of them look like they were shattered with a heavy object. I'm not sure at what point the city likes to address/repair these things so I wanted to go ahead mention them all.

I believe this is the place to report these kinds of things, but if not, could you kindly point me in the right direction?

    Thanks,

Our neighbor has left a large pile of dirt, rock, and debris on our property. They were having some plumbing work done, but I'm not sure why they decided to pile their dirt up on our lawn as opposed to their own. The homeowner told me she considers the matter addressed and has instructed me to call her plumber about it, so unfortunately, I'm taking this route instead. It's been there for over a month now, so I'm running low on patience. Everything under it is certainly dead.

The property's current occupant will not remove it himself, and I cannot do it myself due to personal safety concerns or I would.

The yard is also incredibly overgrown (per usual) and she considers that addressed as well.

Your assistance in the matter would be greatly appreciated.

    Thankya kindly,

My neighbor has had a large hole and pile of dirt in our front yards for around a month now. Today, I saw that it had been filled in (a step in the right direction!), but they've left a ton of dirt in my front yard. I would absolutely go clean this up myself, but he can be incredibly confrontational, and it would be a bad idea to address this ourselves. I have reached out to the property owner (his mother) but have gotten no response.

Would someone from Code make sure this is properly addressed and removed from our lawn, or is this something we'd have to call the police about? I do see there's already a see-click-fix out there for the hole, but I wouldn't consider this addressed or acceptable by any means. (and yes, his lawn is at least a foot+ tall to validate the existing see-click-fix on this location ...and it always is).

This is embarrassing and I hate to submit this, but we literally cannot go over there for reasons I should not disclose on a public forum. I also hate having our name attached to this and wish we could submit something privately.
