    Homeless people are deficating and urinating in mirror lake on a daily basis
    The city should inform the public of this and they should test the water Other people enjoy fishing in the lake. Is it okay for them to eat the fish they catch ? Are the fish contaminated with human waste ?

    Mirror lake is becoming a mess again. Unhoused individuals are leaving trash all over the lake and trash is blowing into the lake . People who live around the lake and the city workers do their best to clean up after them but it is a never ending battle .Wellmeaning but misguided people e are coming around the lake distributing food and clothing every day, sometimes several timesa day. This causes traffic problem, overflowing trash bins and unhealthy sanitary conditions People should be encouraged to go to feeding centers and shelters that have services that can help them and that have bathrooms at the very least.
    Please do something about this .

    The Univeralist Church is providing camping facilities for people without providing bathrooms or running water. Consequently the homeless are using the neighborhood and Mirror Lake torelieve themselves They are also leaving their belongings all over the sidewalks and public areas The church is a nuisance property. e

    These gentleman have parked here for the day, blocking the sidewalk with their belongings and monopolizing the park bench so nobody else can enjoy it

    The homeless situation around mirror lake is out of control!!
    It is no longer safe or desirable for general public use and certainly not for families living in the neighborhood I just witnessed a gentleman pulling beers out of his pants and distributing it to his mates There is trash everywhere, leftover from free food being distributed If the homeless folks can't pick up after themselves then perhaps the people giving away the food should return and clean the area

    The homeless situation around Mirror Lake is becoming increasingly more prevalent I no longer feel safe walking around the lake especially in the evening and early morning because there are people hanging around and sleeping in the bushes and all around. The last time I took a walk around the lake a woman jumped out of a bush at me and scared me half to death People are also using the area as a bathroom as well Several times I have seen human feces on the grass and sidewalks and I have seen people relieving themselves out in the open Could that washing into the lake be causing that algae bloom ? When the Unitarian church and other groups provide food, trash is left all over and residents are walking around cleaning it up Perhaps food can be provided at an indoor location like a soup kitchen or shelter where there is staff to clean up and folks can use indoor bathrooms

    I am seriously considering leaving the city I love before this situation gets worse

    I was out wheeling (I'm disabled and I came upon a person with their pants down pooping and peeing near the bus stop on 1st Ave and around 6th st at (near parking lot by mirror lake). Not something I'd like to get on my hands as I wheel about my day .
    The homeless issue is out of control.
