South Union sidewalk, St Paul St to Main St, needs a critical look by BPW. I have fallen 3 times this winter due to tripping over uneven paving tiles. West sidewalk, can't comment on east sidewalk.
  • North Ave & Shore Rd Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington Electric
Traffic signal not working correctly. Cycling to pedestrian walk and east-west green when no pedestrians are present and no cars on the east or west streets. Stuck pedestrian button? Again?
  • North Ave & Shore Rd Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington Electric

Traffic signal is not working right. Again. This signal seems to break down about 3-4 times a year. Same issue as always. Normal pattern is north-south traffic on North Ave always has a green light unless vehicles are waiting on Shore Rd or Heineberg Rd or the pedestrian crossing button has been pushed. For the last 2-3 weeks this light has been continuously cycling even when no pedestrians are in the area and no cars are on the side streets.

    Stuck button?

  • Heineberg Rd & North Ave Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington Electric

Traffic signal not working correctly. Stuck pedestrian request button? The signal is cycling in all directions even with no east or west traffic waiting and no pedestrians at the intersection. Normally this intersection stays green for north south traffic on North Ave unless cars are waiting on side streets or pedestrians are present.

Chronic issue at this intersection. I reported same issue on 4/29/23 and reported resolution on 5/30/23. The same problem started happening in the past few days.

This was reported on 4/29/23 and acknowledged by DPW but no action yet.

  • Shore Rd Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington Electric
Traffic signal not working properly. Stuck pedestrian button? Light is cycling with no cars waiting at Shore Rd or Heineberg Rd and no pedestrians present. Light is normally green for north-south traffic on North Ave unless cars are waiting on side streets or pedestrians press the button.

  • Heineberg Rd & North Ave Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington Electric
Traffic light is cycling to green for east-west traffic when no east-west traffic and no pedestrians are present. This signal is usually always green (except late night hours when it's flashing yellow) for north-south traffic except when the pedestrian buttons are pushed or if there are vehicles waiting to enter North Ave on Heineberg or Shore.

Traffic signals at Manhattan/Park and Manhattan/North Champlain have gotten out of sync. Southbound traffic coming off the Beltline turning left on Manhattan - when win sync if it turns green at Park St it also turns green at North Champlain for eastbound traffic. Now, it is staying red at North Champlain, creating backups through the Manhattan/Park intersection.
  • North Ave & Plattsburg Ave Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington Electric
Plattsburgh Ave/North Ave traffic signals are not working properly. Walk request button stuck? Signals are cycling to give a Walk signal with no pedestrians present.

White Subaru, Vermont tag FPA135. Registration sticker expired 8/2020. Been parked in this spot for >30 days without moving. Hasn't been towed during flashing light snow emergencies, creating an issue for BPW plows. Requesting city tow this vehicle immediately and plow the street to the curb to create a safe driving lane.

DPW, please consider allowing Right On Red for northbound vehicles at the intersection of Battery St and Pearl St. When this was a 3 lanes northbound road, with 1 lane to go straight past Battery Park and 2 lanes to turn right, it did not make sense for the right turn lanes to be able to Right On Red. This has been changed to 2 lanes northbound. Westbound vehicles at this intersection have the ability to turn Right On Red with a similar 2-lane configuration, it would seem like northbound vehicles should have the same ability. As with westbound vehicles, a digital sign that lights up to not allowed Right On Red when the pedestrian signal is active would seem appropriate at this location.
