At the basketball courts near the Sertoma Art Center, one rim needs a new net and another needs to be tightened or repaired. The back left rim needs a new net and the back right rim makes a horrific rattling sound when the ball hits it. Something must be loose. Can you please check it out and repair it. Thanks! Chip.

When driving south on Lead Mine crossing North Hills Drive, many drivers have trouble staying in their lane. The curve of the lanes could be smoothed out and the lines made more visible to reduce the probability of collisions.

    On Foxwood Drive steep hill.
  • 4351 Lead Mine Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Six Forks
When driving south on Lead Mine crossing North Hills Drive, many drivers have trouble staying in their lane across the intersection due (to some degree) to the lane lines on the road being so sparse and faint. The curve of the lanes could be smoothed out and the lines made more visible to reduce the probability of collisions. I see near-accidents there all the time. Can the City of Raleigh please take a look at this intersection and improve it. Thanks.

Near the stop sign, there has been smelly water coming up from the ground for a long time. Sometimes it flow in a constant stream and goes down the storm drain.

Original post: "There is a high frequency of incidents with cars following much too close (tailgating) on Lead Mine Road. The fault is mostly with the tailgaiters who put others at risk of an accident, but more vigorous law enforcement would be helpful as well. Thanks."

Original response: "Issue Closed - This is going to be a very difficult one to enforce. Tailgaiting is a bad practice that puts people at risk, but as a violation is is very subjective. I will make our police officers aware so they can keep an eye out as they enforce the speeding laws."

Followup comment: If tailgating is a violation of the law, shouldn't it be enforced? I see a lot of flagrant tailgating that to me appears to be a clear violation. If the violation is obvious, much like the observation of a motorist running a stop sign, shouldn't the officer issue a citation? According to Wikipedia: "Approximately one third of rear-end collisions involve tailgating." Wouldn't this be something that we as drivers and that officers could help improve upon? Thanks.
