Traffic Issue Acknowledged4th St S & Newton Ave S St Petersburg, FL, 33701, USA - Bartlett Park Neighborhood AssociationWe have been told over the last two years crosswalks would be installed in the summer. The summers have gone, no crosswalks and you folks didn't keep your word. Sad.. So rather than continue to dodge speeding cars while attempting to cross how about "splurging" and keep a speeding monitor anchored on 4th St. S to help slow down the speeding drivers while crossing the road?

Sanitation Department Archived540 Newton Ave S St Petersburg, FL, 33701, USA - Bartlett Park Neighborhood AssociationShards of glass on the devil strip from where a special pickup was made. Your work an scooped up the furniture and while doing so broke the glass top of the coffee table and didn't bother to first see what they were going to scoop them not to clean up their mess The exact same thing happened at 622 13th Ave. S. At that place they broke the mirror and shards pieces are also on the devil strip. This is pretty sad. It was an unpreventable issue, but most of all it's dangerous. I have a novel idea. How about instructing your operators, when taking a call, to inform the person requesting a pick up that you don't take glass and they should put it in the trash barrel?

Sanitation Department Archived601 Newton Ave S St Petersburg, FL, 33701, USA - Bartlett Park Neighborhood AssociationCity workers came out and removed the clothing, furniture and bags, but left a lot of debris that should have been raked up. Odds and ends pieces of trash are still there as well as food garbage on the sidewalk. It looks as if a job that wasn't finished and looks terrible.
-
Sanitation Department Archived601 Newton Ave S St Petersburg, FL, 33701, USA - Bartlett Park Neighborhood AssociationNo, I don't think the job is finished. The workers left food on the sidewalk and trash on the alleyway. Perhaps the city should provide a rake, shovel and gloves so the job can be done right. It's pretty sad what was left behind. We have to walk by this stuff. Very sad and disappointed in those city workers who were assigned to the job.
