Sidewalks and Curb damage Archived300 West Elm New Haven, Connecticut - WestvilleThis may be the wrong category, but it was the closest I could find. The (fairly recently installed) UI utility pole at the southeast corner of the intersection of West Elm Street and Forest Road is deeply undermined. There is a hole big enough to lose a toddler in, evidently the result of fill soil being washed out. If it continues, there pole will be at risk of toppling.

Traffic Signal / Pedestrian Signal Archived266 Connecticut 122 New Haven, Connecticut - WestvillePedestrian signal is coming on during every cycle at this intersection (adding 20 seconds every time) instead of only those times a pedestrian pushes a button. This is new behavior the last week or so. Please have a technician take a look.

sign knocked down Archived284 W Elm St New Haven, CT 06515 - WestvilleNo parking sign apparently struck by vehicle yesterday. Pole bent. This is a sign newly set in a concrete walk last year. It just needs to be lifted out and replaced. No damage to hole.

Tree blocking traffic signal Archived110 Fountain St New Haven, CT 06515 - WestvilleThe signal for westbound traffic on Fountain, in front of the Westville Post Office, is blocked from view by a young tree, causing a dangerous situation for pedestrians crossing Fountain with the walk signal, especially from cars pulling away after illegally parking in front of Post Office. The signal is over the sidewalk. Either the lower branches of the tree should be pruned (cheap) or the signal should be swung out over the street (expensive).
