Our yard backs up Eagle Lake Park. The vegetation from the park continues to climb the fence and get into our hedges. A worker from Mosquito once informed me that these vines will strangle my hedge so I have submitted request before and crew mow, edge and spray the weeds and vegetation climbing the fence. Please look at it and maintain it. The whole ditch really needs some care and cleaning. The weeds really need to be maintained regularly with me having to submit these?

This ditch is not draining fully and we cannot sit in our yard at night. We just walked past it and instantly mosquitos were on my leg. If they are not coming from there, they are coming from the other green water in the park? We just want to enjoy the back yard at night and can’t. Why can’t they fog or fly the park? We are not the only ones submitting stuff.

The ditch in the park (Eagle Lake) that backs our property never drains completely and has to source of mosquitos. It is literally impossible to be near the fence line in the evening. Even away from the fence line it is hard to sit outside in the evening. You guys at MC are great and have been here a lot but with the water sitting in the ditch it’s not getting better. Not sure if fogging the area is being done or even flying the park? We do our best to rid the property of water. Please look at the ditch again. We walk the park daily and the water is stagnant.

My property backs up to Eagle Lake Park. The drainage in the ditch is generally not moving. I've had Mosquito Control out and they are fantastic. That said the fence line is not being maintained and weeds from the park are getting into my hedge and literally killing it. This was actually told to me by Mosquito Control. We were also told the county was not maintaining that area of the park. This is not the first time I've had to write. For a time it was better but the fence line really needs to be maintained. The mosquitos are still an issue and I will submit another report. That said I should not really have to weed eat the fence as I did yesterday. Eagle Lake is beautiful and we love the park. Please maintain the fence line.

So report an issue and get flagged for rejection?

This is constant and ongoing. The backyard is not enjoyable and it's not MC's fault. I have a ditch in the park that has standing water. It doesn't drain. It sits. We have had no major rain yet the ditch has standing, non-moving water? I just went and looked (it's 10:19pm) and as I'm shining a flashlight I have 3 mosquitos on my leg. Also when MC was out they mentioned the unkept fence that had vines growing from it to my hedge that would, "ultimately kill my hedge if not controlled". I get we are the backside of the park. That said it needs to be maintained and this is not MC's fault. If you have a ditch it needs to be maintained as does the fence that you put up. Please look at this ditch that someone re-engineered a year ago for some reason that does not drain. I should be about to enjoy my property? Other neighbors are tired of this. Fly the park or do whatever but until this ditch flows or drains, I'm not worried about a bucket at my neighbors house?

Having a bad time with the mosquitos. Maybe the ditch in the park is part of the problem? I know that behind the hedge in my yard, between the ditch and the hedge, had quite a few as I was trimming it. Tried to swim the other night and they were all over the place? Had to get out of the pool?

This is both a parks and mosquito control issue. This ditch was modified less than a year ago. It is directly behind my house. All it's done is hold water and it is not being maintained as the picture shows. Water does not flow. I'm not sure who did the modifications but we are having a very bad time with mosquitos and feel the sitting water in this ditch is a major contributor. We try to control standing water on the property and you have been here and done a fantastic job several times. Why can't they fog the perimeter of the park? I mean they need to get this water flowing in the ditch too but something needs to be done. We can't enjoy the pool at night as the mosquitos are horrible. Thank you as I know the county does amazing work. This ditch and some landscaping in these area of the park needs to happen more frequently as it abuts neighboring properties. Thank you.

This is the "new" ditch behind my house after it's improvements last year. The water simply sits and it's a haven for mosquitos. It's hard to enjoy our back yard at times. I'm not sure water is just supposed to accumulate where it is. Mosquito Control is the best! That said, this ditch leaves little to be desired. The length of my back yard the water basically just sits.

The mosquitos are really, really bad. We back up to Eagle Lake Park and the drainage ditch runs right behind my fence. There is always standing water in the ditch despite the work done last year on it. I have looked around my year and cannot find a source large enough to merit the insane amount of mosquitos. I wish you could treat the park? Or the ditch. I work for the county and know you guys do fantastic work and thank you for it. That said, it needs to be addressed somehow as we cannot really even enjoy the amazing backyard we have. They seem to be the ankle biters so I'm guessing it may be standing water somewhere. The mosquitos are horrible here. The county and/or city has been redoing the ditch behind the house in my mind to reduce the mosquitos. They are constant up and down this street. The park has stagnant, green water and yet we are expected to just live with these mosquitos. We moved in less than a year ago and while I think you all have responded quickly to previous request, not enough is being done. We have helicopters and foggers? Why can they not come here? It is making life on Harmony Drive horrible. Please help with this. This is not a few puddles or a spare tire with water. This is green yuk in the park and a ditch that just holds water breeding this mess. It is the whole street. Front yard, back yard, garage, lanai? All the neighbors are frustrated.
