Missed yard waste pickup. I've got 17 bags out front.

Just walked through the ramp area and after noticing one missing nut and reporting this last year, I counted 9 missing nuts, and 1 missing bolt and nut. Seems like someone has the wrench and the time to remove nuts.

I am re-reporting (Issue 10669792, August 2021) the condition of the road between the cut bridge and the end of the boulevard. The surface is pitted on the driving side of the bike lane. Many of these holes could throw a bicyclist in to traffic. With one side of lane parked cars, and the other broken pavement.

This is ripe for a tragedy. I have a video that I can share by e-mail or some other method. There are to many to take individual photographs.

This is also a huge risk to the City of Gloucester, Los Angeles settled with family of cyclist for $4.5 million! https://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-bicyclist-settlement-20170510-story.html

Nuts are missing from bolts holding parking barriers at Dunfudgin boat ramp and parking.

There are two examples in each of the photos provided, plus 8 or 9 more along the parking.

First seasonal snowfall, first complaint at this annual, every storm offender. Driveway is shoveled, sidewalk on very steep section is not.

Please escalate this issue as this property owner has either not been reached following previous complaints, or has been unmoved to shoulder responsibility.

Note snowfell Monday, today is Wednesday. No action during entire day between.

One of the three small trees at the Commonwealth Ave entrance has broken at the base and is leaning on the sign and the other trees.

It needs to be removed. And while a crew is there, they should trim the lower branches of the other two trees that would improve the health of the tree by removing these sucker shoots. Routine maintenance.

Just noticed that our neighbors recycling was picked up and our bin is untouched.
  • 18 Commonwealth Avenue Gloucester, MA, 01930, USA - Gloucester

A small couch has been dumped to the left of the path entering park from Commonwealth. It happened in the last 24 hrs.

Also there is brush that has been cut and piled behind the bench at the very top of the hill near the base of neighbors pine tree.

Yesterday Nov 5th at Wingaersheek Beach around Noon, and just after high tide, I saw a rather large log below the high water mark on the open water side of the beach. It's about 30' long and 12-18" in diameter.

I leave it to your judgement about whether this could float off and become a hazard to navigation. It would certainly cause damage if struck by a moving boat!

I thought I reported this around Oct 21st, but cannot find the report. This property owner took the bag in after two recycling/trash days, and then put it out yesterday. Still in a clear plastic bag.

This follows an earlier issue with furniture on the sidewalk for several weeks until I reported it to SeeClickFix.

I was at Good Harbor Beach about 12 noon today, there is a large section of wooden walkway below the high water mark between the snack bar and the bridge.

Must have been dislodged by the storm tides.

It's wider than most of the walkways, 10 to 12 feet wide, and about 20 feet long.

This piece of furniture? appeared about 3 weeks ago. It is to the left of 34 Commonwealth driveway, where 34 trash and recycling is placed on a weekly basis. This week the residents piled their trash on the furniture, and have failed to clean up mess from torn garbage bags.

This is also a hazard as it is a cylinder at the top of the hill and could easily be dislodged and roll down the hill striking parked cars or roll into the Centennial Ave intersection.

Calling your attention to broken pavement and potholes on water side of Stacey Boulevard between Centennial Ave and where road turns inland.

The problem is just outside the bike lane, and includes at least 20 potholes through the top road surface. Alarmingly there is a crack or seam running the entire length parallel to the bike lane that could easily catch a bike tire and throw the rider into the auto lane. A bike rider avoiding a car door opening, or a pedestrian could easily stray out of the bike lane and encounter this danger.

A parallel crack is the most dangerous road surface to a bicycle wheel. Inexperienced riders are especially vulnerable.

Aside from trying to avoid terrible accidents, I want to point out that this opens the City of Gloucester to enormous liability. Judgements and settlements in the millions have been made in the US to bicyclists and relatives of riders killed in accidents attributable to negligent maintenance.

Since repaving of Washington St, there is no marked crosswalk at Railroad Ave. I walk frequently from my house on Commonwealth Ave, to Shaw's, Jim's Bagels and getting across this street has required dangerously aggressive tactics. This needs to be done ASAP and can not wait for completion of what seems to be larger project. Temporary at minimum must be visible to auto traffic.

While in Lookout Park this morning, I found 2 needles under a small tree/bush while picking up beer and wine bottles.

I live at 38 Commonwealth Ave and can meet or go and take picture.

The tree is located on the right of the path, close to the concrete table.

I noticed this morning a Ford Escape SUV, White with no plates front or back parked at the corner of Cliffor Ct and Commonwealth Ave. I have not seen this car before, and I asked a resident of the abutting property and he did not know the vehicle.

I frequently ride my bicycle down Rogers to Main St and then toward Eastern Point. In the S curve area near the head of the harbor, the 'bike lane' area is cracked, pitted, extremely rough.

This is an area where cars and bicycles are negotiating a complicated curve, the bike lane is sometime there and sometimes a share lane. In this type of area it is important for a bicycle rider to be in control and not steering around an extremely rough surface.

In addition, the lane markers have faded and it is not terribly clear what the situation is on the road.

I'm drawing attention to this area out of my entire Cape Ann loop as the worst section. Hopefully something can be done.

I would like to draw your attention to the wave like surface of Angle St between Western Ave and Rogers St. I frequently ride my bike up Western Ave, right on Angle, left on to Rogers St. The street is downhill, and it is difficult to maintain control while the rolling road surface bounces the bike and I in to the air.

This is much more than a pot hole patch, because the surface is deformed over a substantial area. But given the density of traffic, the turns, it represents a serious hazard to even an experienced rider well aware of the danger.

Thank you for your attention. Ron Wilson 38 Commonwealth Ave Gloucester
