Can you remove the dead opossum from the sidewalk, please?

It's fly-blown, sticky, and getting riper. You really, really do not want me to send a photo.

Can you remove the dead rat from the sidewalk, please?

I carry plastic bags and gloves to remove debris from the sidewalk and, thus, quietly remove the problem. Now that PSTA has removed all the garbage cans from their bus stops (except for Sun runner), I no longer have a place to quietly put debris. I'm sure that the PSTA driver doesn't want a dead rat on the bus.

The walk button does not turn the walk sign on. Is there a disconnected wire? This has been happening for many months.

The button is on the southeast corner of 22nd Ave N & Dr MLK Jr St N in St Petersburg. The button is supposed to help you cross 22nd Ave N.

The red brick pavers, where they meet the cement, are so low and disjointed that they create a tripping hazard and are probably not ADA compliant.

This is at the southwest corner if the RHC building (635 4th St N, St Petersburg, FL).

Can you put the cement slab back in place, please?
It is at the south east corner of the intersection of Dr MLK Jr St N and 23rd Ave N.

The slab has a 3 1/2 inch space on the side that enables bicycle, micromobility, mobility scooter, and wheelchair wheels to get trapped. Also, it's hazardous to night users and people with visual impairments. It's not ADA compliant.

Can you have someone design the foundation (base) for the cement slabs so that the slabs can't be tipped out of place, please?

I have seen large delivery trucks cut the corner and run their tires over these slabs. The slab tips at an angle toward the tires, then falls back down. When the slab falls back down, it doesn't fall back into place. Thus, a dangerous gap is created.

Redesigning the foundation (base), to prevent slabs tipping, will increase street safety, increase adherence to ADA, and decrease the city having to spend money to have employees put the slabs back in place.

Can you fix the uneven hexblock sidewalk, please? It is a tripping hazard.

Please disregard Google maps, seeclickfix map, and other maps because they have incomplete information.

You will find the sidewalk by going to the southeast corner of Dr MLK Jr St N & 4th Ave N intersection.
Then, walk east past the alley that has the street sign that says "Lang CT N 370-330".
Then, you will find the hexblock sidewalk, and it is labeled "Lang CT N".

    Thank you for your help.

  • 353 Lang Ct N St Petersburg, FL, 33701, USA - Downtown Neighborhood Association

A person reported that the hex blocks on Lang CT N need fixing. You deleted it, saying that Lang CT N doesn't have hex blocks.

There are two Lang Ct Norths. Their openings are 50 to 100 yards from each other. Can you fix the Lang CT N that has the hex blocks, please? Also, can you put its street sign up because the sign got knocked down.

  • 700 8th St N St Petersburg, FL, 33701, USA - Uptown

Can you put a flashing barricade in the middle of the intersection of 8th St N and 7th Ave N, please? Also, can you put a "slow loose rocks" sign up in the middle of the intersection?

Many people have complained about cars driving too fast and scooter riders crashing. Hopefully, the sign and flashing barricade will help people avoid that.

A car-width trench has been cut through the intersection. The road crew has done such a spectacular job smoothing the sand and loose rocks out that, at night and in dry weather, scooter riders, bicyclists, and especially motorists don't realize there is loose sand and rocks until the people are on top of the trench.

We will still have the problem of city motorists not knowing that driving fast causes their tires to fling loose rocks a good distance. People, who have experience driving on unpaved country roads, know this.

Even I, as a pedestrian, didn't realize there was a trench with loose sand and rocks. I had to walk over and dig my toe into the trench to see it.

    Thank you.

  • 431 34th Ave N Saint Petersburg, Florida, 33704 - St. Petersburg

Can you fix the sidewalk, please?

The sidewalk is raised up about 2 inches. It's a tripping hazzard. Also, some people in mobility assistive devices might have a hard time getting their wheels to go over that.

    Thank you.
