It's extremely dangerous for pedestrians, drivers, delivery and service vehicles. It is also threatening in terms of weather, because as soon as it starts raining the gravel will clog sewer drains and cause flooding.

It is extremely dangerous because the street is steep. Pedestrians have fallen and injured themselves and vehicles have slid and caused damage to parked cars.

A very serious problem is the gravel which comes loose and cascades down the street. It creates traction problems for vehicles (one actually slipped backwards and hit another car) and for pedestrians who slip and injure themselves on the steep, gravelly pavement.
