Common Sense

On July 19, someone dumped a large trash bag that we believe contained a dead animal or animals, along with various other debris, in the street and driveway of a disabled neighbor’s home (incident #6235139; service request #926329). That same night, 2 other large black trash bags were tossed down a hill and dumped behind 3060 75th Avenue’s rear fence, which is fully accessible, as it backs up to an empty lot. There may (or may not?) be dead animals in those bags, as well.

The family who owns 3078 73rd Avenue, which is a corner house that faces onto 73rd AND Hillmont Drive, has repainted over much of the red/no parking City paint so that they can park more of their cars there. This is right after a BLIND TURN off of 73rd onto Hillmont, and in covering up the NO PARKING ZONE, they have created daily, DANGEROUS driving conditions for all residents and motorists at that busy intersection. Also, they sometimes park multiple cars over the remaining red paint, too, effectively turning Hillmont Drive into a 1-lane street at the busy intersection, sometimes making it impossible and very dangerous for motorists to turn off of 73rd onto Hillmont if there’s a car on Hillmont, as well as clog the entire intersection when two cars converge at the same time. PLEASE CITE and FINE THIS FAMILY and repaint/return the RED NO PARKING ZONE TO ITS ORIGINAL, SAFE DISTANCE. Thank you!
