During this past week, the train horns are blasting again during the very early morning hours (4-5am). The noise had subsided for several months but it has started again. What is the city doing to handle this situation?

There is some type of bird or animal making tiny tapping/pecking/low register chirping throughout the night from about 9pm - now (at 1:45am), disturbing the quiet. It is hot during this time so we want to leave the window open but it is not possible with this noise. Can the city send animal control out to the area to assess the situation?

The construction and drilling at 6425 Christie has started even earlier today, around 6:30 this Tuesday morning. Again, the noise level of the drilling is very loud, and I believe violates noise ordinance.

Construction and drilling are occurring at 6425 Christie Avenue right now this Saturday morning on June 6, 2020. It started at 7 am this morning. Isn't this a violation of the noise ordinance? We can hear everything across the street at 6400 Christie, a residential building.

The train horn noise is back. I know there is some initiative to curb the problem for the long-term but in the mean time, can you just put up a few large signs e.g "Entering Residential Area, Do Not Sound Horn" so the train operators know not to do so. If they are sounding the horn to warn people on the tracks, can a fence (partial or full) be put up to keep people off the track?

In the morning hours between 5-7am, some very large crows are making a lot of noise. Even with double pane windows, we can hear them. In the evening, a large number of them, are constantly in the area. This is a residential area. Can the city remove their nest and use other tools remove them from the area, e.g. reflective mylar tape (without creating another nuisance for residents in the area)?

The tents and litter are circling SAE campus all the way to the freeway off ramp. Please do something about it. Shopping carts, large furniture, full trash bags are everywhere. The neighborhood is not resident friendly.

The homeless encampment on 67th Street and Shellmound at the Berkeley/Emeryville border has moved onto the railroad tracks across the street now. There are tents, giant cardboard boxes and garbage piling up again. Not only a sore sight for the neighborhood but also a safety concern for those who are camping on those tracks.

    Hello,

We just moved to Emeryville and live on 64th and Christie. The noise from the train horns are so loud that as they pass by, my sleep is completely disturbed. For example, it's 6:20am right now on a Saturday morning and I'm extremely tired but wide awake from the train that passed by at 5:45am honking it's horn for what feels like a good few minutes waking me.The horns during the day are not so bad - sometimes even nice when it's not loud - but the noise level in the middle of the night is just awful.

I saw that a proposal was submitted to the California Transportation Committee back in January 2018 for the Trade Corridor Enhancement project to address the noise caused by train horns and I wanted to know if there is an update on this.

    Thank you.
