Just want to say thanks for all the sidewalk repair work you have done in and around Wetherburn!! The contractors worked in that cold weather and seemed very efficient at laying the new concrete. Very well doneQ!

I know this is reallly picky, but wondering if you could straighten/replant this sign. I tried to right it myself, but afraid I'll just make it wobbly. May have taken a hit during snow clearing this winter. (And if this is beyond your purview, then thanks anyway!)

Crosswalk sign at intersection of route 99 and Maplewood has been knocked over. Is near Waverly Elementary.

Big scary hornet’s nest in county tree. Is in tree at mailbox at 10222 Tarpley Court. Address is labeled on curb. Looks like the weight of the nest is causing the branch to hand lower than normal. Do you have resources to take care of this? Looks a little more complicated than merely using a can of Raid. Thanks!

This cone has been in this spot at the Glory Days parking lot for some time.
It was tipped over recently (wind I assume), so stood it back up and put
it on the curb. I noticed today it was back on the roadway surface. Is it serving a purpose? That spot is tight to begin with, and with the cone in the roadway it makes it even tighter. Is is there as a reminder that the curb is there? Is it a left over cone from a completed utilities project? Just thought I'd ask.

Random question: does the county post "no soliciting" signs, for
say, a homeowners association? Is this type of sign "a thing"? If the
county doesn't have such a thing, what can be done about multiple solicitors (window companies, various companies that go door-to-door)?

County trees or homeowner trees?

Old Mill was recently repaved, from rte 99 to about a 1/4 mile down Old Mill. That area was re-striped, however, it was not re-arrowed at the interesection (of 99 and Old Mill). Previously there was a right-turn-or-straight-only lane, and a left-turn-only lane. These lane indicators/arrows need to be re-applied. thanks

A large (county) tree branch apparently took a lightning hit. Tree branch is located at the intersection of Wetherburn Rd. and Tarpley Court, near 10264 Wetherburn. Please schedule for removal.

Any chance a sidewalk will be installed on easttbound 99 in ellicott city, between Raleigh Tavern Lane and Wetherburn Rd? I live at 10221 Wetherburn and often kids cut through my yard to get to Waverly Elementary, to, you know, go play! I know I should tell the kids to find another way, but, sending them along rte 99 just doesn't seem safe. There is a partial sidewalk that goes from Wetherburn to Raleigh Tavern, but it ends where the white fence owned by Wetherburn HOA ends. A sidewalk really needs to continue down to Raleigh Tavern.

You read my mind and changed the speed limit on rte 99, between Marriottsville Rd and Rte 32, to 40 mph!!! For years I've thought that 50 was too high. Thank you!! A couple of follow-on thoughts. Were the signs "flagged" at time of the change? Like when a new signal is put in, there is a flagged sign announcing the signal's arrival. If it hasn't been done already, perhaps consider doing so -- so drivers will make note of the change. Also, I think it would be a good idea to add one or two more signs both eastbound and westbound. When you currently see "end school zone" you kind of think, oh, I can now speed up. But now the "school zone" speed is the same as the rest of the road (40). I think it would be good to at least place speed signs right past the "end school zone" signs. And, then I would add at least one other speed sign to different places on this entire section of rte 99, both eastbound and westbound, as helpful reminders that the speed limit is in fact 40. You'll be happy this is not an "action" item! A few months ago you repaired a pothole at 10256 Wetherburn EC. It was better, but still had a bit of an indentation. I noticed in the last 2 weeks or so that the pothole no longer sags -- it is now a flush surface! Thank you for going back and making it perfect!
