    Hi, First thanks for putting in the 3 new sets of crosswalk signs/lights this week on North Maple Rd. But I already noticed an issue with them. When you press the button at the ones to cross at the Alano Club, they also trigger the lights on the set just south of them down by the Bible Tabernacle church. And vice versa.

    Can that be fixed? I worry that a driver will catch the 2nd set of lights and blow right through the first set. Or they may see the first set and see that nobody is there and then blow through the 2nd. Either way it seems unsafe and unnecessary for 2 different crosswalks to be flashing when 1 is triggered.

    Looking to see if getting crosswalks installed on North Maple somewhere between Dexter and Miller Roads is still on the city's agenda? On another post it was mentioned that:

    "We will be scheduling a public meeting for later this fall to discuss the implementation of the City's Non-Motorized Plan for this corridor and to discuss the community's desired locations for crosswalks."

    Is this meeting still happening this fall? If so how can we be notified?

    3/4 of a mile with busy traffic makes it very difficult to cross North Maple without 1 crosswalk for all of the bus stops and schools in the neighborhood.

    Hi, apologies if this is the wrong place to post this. I live on North Maple and ever since it went down to 2 lanes traffic is pretty steady all day since it is between the 2 highways. It gets especially bad during rush hours.

    My issue is that there are no crosswalks at all between Dexter Rd and Miller which is 7/10th of a mile walk. There are numerous bus stops between there, the Alano Club, the N Maple Estates (where tons of children live), as well as access to Haisley school. People are constantly crossing through that stretch and it isn't always easy. There really needs to be 1 or 2 crosswalks in that area.

    I had hoped that after the construction that maybe one was still coming but that does not appear to be the case . There is a crosswalk on Maple just north of Miller but that seems much less needed than one between Dexter And Miller.
