With recent construction on my block, the alley has deep holes/divots in it and is not draining rain water. From approximately 526 east, the water drains east towards 5th street. From between 534 west, the water puddles and covers the entire width of the alley. The excessive water extends about 2 to 3 houses, westward and several spots beyond towards the NW alley before 7th street. Around new house # 604 and west of that, the alley is in poor condition with fairly large potholes. I ask that the holes be filled in and alley slope east so the rain water drains towards gutters on 5th street north. We can't take our garbage to the dumpster without walking through about 3 inches of water! The holes can also cause damage to vehicles trying to get to their garage... I believe the heavy garbage and recycle trucks are causing more damage driving down the soaked, mushy alley, day after day. Thanks. Picture shows standing water a few hours after rain.
