    Pavement on right side of Pinehaven has crumbled. Very unsafe. Fix it now, or you will be responsible for any accidents, vehicle damage or deaths. You will be held accountable by the force of law. Don't test me, we will come after you. And hurry the eff up and fix all the potholes, depressions due to settled sewer pipes, etc. Make it a priority, we"re sick and tired of your attitude and lack of action.

    Have not seen any activity on repairing Snake Rd fire damage. City promised they would start by October 1. Did they give up and decided not to bother with the repair? Seems like it.

    I live in Montclair. We have many non-native, highly-flammable trees here, and throughout the Oakland Hills. The top three species that are the most hazardous are Eucalyptus, Monterey Pine, and Monterey Cypress. And there are many others as well. As you know the fire hazards are getting worse every year now, so we need to get serious about removing those trees. How much could that cost? I think far less than the cost of all the homes lost, considering the massive losses during the 1991 fire, which I witnessed from the top of Claremont Canyon. I watched Eucalyptus explode as the heated up and flashed over.

    Where would we find the contractors to build them? Contractors are all busy already. We permanently lost them in the 2008 downturn. Where will we all live while our houses are being rebuilt?

    So you need to think hard about this, and find a way to get it done. Or we're all dead. Imagine the lawsuits.
