    PLEASE FINISH THE PAVING.

This gravel pit left by the water line contractors is already dangerous to bike over, and invisible as a regularly-busy pedestrian crossing. But we all know what's going to happen here the first time a plow hits it, or honestly even a hard rain. This will be impassible by Christmas.

Please fix it while the paving equipment is out. Please don't treat this like a pothole that can be resolved with some shovels and loose asphalt.

Extensive tree and brush clearing is underway at the Barge Canal parcel, but the zoning permit requested by DPW has no associated detail that I can find on the P&Z site. What's the scope of the work underway here?

Crossing flasher and post have been completely removed from the West side of Pine street at Pine & Howard. The remaining flasher on the East side doesn't work. This flasher was just about the only thing that allows safe crossings at this spot, so a rapid repair would be really nice.

Many thanks DPW for the sidewalk plowing! Unfortunately, whoever maintains the Dealer parking space plowed the sidewalk shut again. I had to help a guy with a cane get around this mess, and it could use another pass with a snow dragon, or ideally the Dealer crew could fix it.

The West side path along Pine Street South of Howard should finally be paved.

While Pine has always been hostile to cyclists, this has been a dangerous choke point for EVERYONE throughout the construction this summer; at times it has been impassible in the literal sense to all pedestrians and cyclists. The East side sidewalk has several times been blocked without warning or alternative, and even now is cut by a gravel section with a several-inch curb on either side; I have not the slightest idea how someone would traverse it in a wheelchair.

A paved, fully-traversable, [de facto] multi-use path on the West side of Pine would alleviate this problem and could potentially provide both pedestrians and cyclists with a nearly-continuous path into the downtown area via Pine.
