This home doesn’t even have a curb cutout for parking. He made his own parking spot and parks on sidewalk, taking street parking from us. This is not a legal driveway… can something be done about this ?

Yes 9 months. I have spoken to 2 separate parking agents who assured me that this would be looked into, but nothing ever happened. The van has received a few tickets, but has never been booted or towed. Not sure why this is allowed.?? The vehicle is NOT from the mechanic on the corner. Van has tires and garbage in it and it has only been moved once in past 9 months, from one end of street to the other. I have also complained about this vehicle several months ago on this forum, but nothing was done then either. Something fishy going on with this.... dies he have some kind of arrangement with the ticketing folks????

Vehicle parked in same spot for 2 months

This vehicle had been parked in same spot for over a week... it’s filled with garbage and has a broken window. The vehicle has yet to get any parking tickets, which is amazing since other residents get tickets immediately

The property at 75 Jordan Ave was demolished months ago to make way for a supposed condo building. Since then, not an ounce of construction has taken place. BUT, the property has been used as a storage facility for heavy equipment (backhoes) and building materials and fill. Apparently this company has another construction site nearby in Journal Square and they keep a good amount of equipment stored in this empty lot. The contractors (Roman out of Newark) are consistently abusing the residents of my street with disregard for all ordinances and laws pertaining to construction sites. Incessant double parking, diesel engines idling for 30+ minutes, air brake releases all morning, late night (10PM-12AM) deliveries to site, strobe lights on delivery vehicles and coffee meetings around the double parked vehicles. Sometimes there are 15+employees gathered on the street awaiting the supposed “supervisor.” Most of this typically goes on between the hours of 5-7AM. Residents are losing their patience with this Roman outfit and there will soon be many instances of confrontation, as they act like they own the street..this must come to an end for the sanity of the residents of Jordan Ave.
