Thank you to the City or Oakland for finally paving Harold St. The concern I have now relates to the lane striping. The temp lane markings that were placed on the street are way out of alignment for traffic to accommodate for the numerous cars that are always parked on the right side of the street. I'm looking for assurance you're going to stripe the lanes appropriately and correctly.

Southbound Coolidge Ave between MacArthur Frwy and about Davis is deteriorating with dangerously deep potholes and other quickly deteriorating road surface issues. Hitting at least one of these potholes could cause serious damage to a car's front end suspension. As a result of these issues, the potential for traffic collisions is increased as people are swerving into the northbound lanes to avoid the street damage. If the city of Oakland doesn't have the budget to fix the potholes, perhaps they should add some provisions to the next voting initiatives to add a slight increase to property taxes to provide more targeted infrastructure funding. Hearing that the city doesn't have enough resources to cover infrastructure repairs is a sad and lame excuse.

Harold St has been messed up for years, and city has systematically ignored the deterioration. You know its a serious problem that needs to be remediated ASAP, but the city continually chooses other less serious resurfacing needs. Yes, I know the city knows it needs a completely new road surface because I and many others have been reporting this issue for years.
